Straight answers to the questions I get asked most. If yours is not here, just ask.
Timing
How long will my mount take?
At my studio I take 10 to 12 months to complete all taxidermy items. I will give you an estimated finish date at drop-off and call you when it is ready.
When is the busy season?
Fall time.
Money
How much does it cost?
Contact me for pricing. Every piece is a little different, so give me a call or send photos and I will quote it.
Do you need a deposit?
Yes. 50% down at drop-off, balance at pickup.
What forms of payment do you take?
Cash, check, Venmo, and credit or debit cards. Credit and debit cards will incur a 3.5% additional fee.
The Work
What do you mount?
Everything except pets.
Can I choose the pose?
Absolutely. You tell me and/or show me what you would like and I will make it happen.
Do you do fish replicas?
Yes. If you released the fish, bring me its length, girth and good photos and I will build a painted fiberglass replica that looks like the day you caught it.
After Pickup
How do I take care of my mount?
A climate-controlled environment is essential. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents, fireplaces and damp basements. Dust it a few times a year with a soft brush, a hair dryer on cool, or compressed air, working with the hair. Never use water or cleaners on the hair. A little care and it will look good for decades.
Do you ship?
Yes. Crating and shipping are additional and vary in cost depending on size, weight, distance, and so on. Most customers pick up at the studio.
